Inside Wedding Cake Designs

April 3rd, 2009

Your wedding day is nearing, you are starting to get a little nervous, Don’t.  Lets focus on something fun, designing your wedding cake.  Now you might be thinking about the outside of the cake, but don’t forget that you need to also figure out what will go on the inside to.

White Cake:

This type of wedding cake has a very wide apeal and is pretty classic.  There are not many people who would not eat white cake, even if it is not their favorite, most people do not dislike it.  A very common practice with white cake is to place layers of creme or fruit between them for a fantastic effect.

Chocolate Cake:

You are sure to please a good amount of your guests with this one.  Although if you go with all chocolate, you may find that you have some very happy guests and some who just don’t like chocolate.  Its not quite as much of a happy meduim as white cake can be.

Marble Cake:

Give your guests the best of both with marble cake.  The effect both takes good and looks good to.  The swirls pattern is very elegent even when the cake has been cut and it being served.

Half and Half:

You can always make a cake part white and part chocolate. This works particularly well if your banquet hall will not be serving the cake but will be laying the pieces out buffetstyle after the dinner.  Your guests can go and choose their favorite.  You just can’t loose with that.

As you can see there are a number of internal wedding cake designs you choose from when shopping around.  Be sure to discuss this with your wedding cake designer so you don’t end up with the default white cake on accident.
